I competed in Ride Cincinnati, and RAIN (80th place finish) last year.
I have competed in the following:
Sprint/Olympic and Half Iron Distance Triathlons (Highlight was a 2nd place finish in Half Ironman Clydesdale Division in 2014).
Ride Cincinnati 2016 and 2017
RAIN 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011-2017 (80th place finish in 17’)
With my prototypical cycling physique I am surely the envy of most riders particularly on hilly courses. Looking forward to a great 2018 with Team VO2.
I’ve done some criteriums, road racing and triathlons. Did well in all. Next year I’ve signed up for Half Iron Man and plan on more crits, RR’s and MTB. Might even expand out into some endurance racing.
My primary activity is road cycling and some mountain biking. I mainly participate in training rides, community fund raisers and organized rides like the Hilly Hundred and RAIN Ride. Since hooking up with Team Lithco/VO2 I have significantly increased my fitness level and am challenging myself to add running and swimming to my routine and enter a local triathlon this Spring.
I have done lots of racing in lots of disciplines over the years. Most proud of my Track sprinting at Collegiate Nationals when I was a student (97, yes I’m old) and my AZ State Champion Titles in 1998. Two state championships, one in the match sprints, and one in the Kilo and a second place in the individual pursuit. I was lobbying my Dad to get on the Honduran Olympic track cycling team to be an athlete at the Atlanta Games .. but that didn’t work out. I was eligible .. just the logistics of it and timing were off. Have road ridden stage races in Mexico and the U.S. and too many criteriums and circuit races and road races to mention. Raced mt bikes for years now, and as you guys know, just started messing around with CX but am still dealing with my achilles a little bit.
